COLORADO BRIGHT BEGINNINGS
 
85% of brain development occurs during the first three years of life.  Providing stimulation and nurturing through reading, conversing and playing games with your child are invaluable in laying the groundwork for his or her future emotional, social and intellectual good health and well-being.

Colorado Bright Beginnings can help!

The Colorado Bright Beginnings Program has 14 affiliates throughout Colorado. Our local program, which works hand in hand with Parenting Place to provide support, education and resources to families, serves Boulder, Broomfield and Gilpin counties.

Colorado Bright Beginnings materials are offered to everyone, free of charge!

We offer a free packet of materials (available in both English and Spanish) to any interested Colorado family with a child, prenatal to age three…without regard to income, age or any other eligibility criteria.  There are several different Colorado Bright Beginnings packets…0-12 months, 12-24 months and 24-36 months…and our visits are tailored to the age and needs of your child!   

The free packets include:

Age appropriate books for your child
40 page Parent Resource Directory for Boulder and Broomfield Counties
CD entitled “Mozart Effect for Newborn” (in the 0-12 month packet)
70 page Learning Games Activity Book
Language Development book and information (in the 12-24 month packet)
Booklets and information on Child Care Resources, Developmental Milestones, and Community Resources

There are a number of ways to receive the packets! 

-  A visit to your home by a trained Colorado Bright Beginnings volunteer, set up at your convenience.
     
- Scheduled individual and group visits outside the home at a number of sites, including area hospitals, libraries, birth and parenting classes and other community organizations.
 
- Regular or personally scheduled weekly visits at Parenting Place.
