Childcare and Preschool

• Parenting Place maintains a directory of childcare and preschool providers.
• Some of our volunteers and paid childcare people may be interested in providing childcare for families.  Ask our volunteer coordinator if she has contact information for anyone looking to do childcare.  We highly recommend that you check references and spend time with the sitter and your child before hiring and that we are not officially recommending any of our childcare providers.

Parenting Classes

Here at Parenting Place, Love and Logic Early Childhood Parenting classes are provided by Sheryl Schwabe.  Currently, classes, geared for parents of children birth to age 6, are scheduled on Saturday mornings 10-11:30am.  The fee for the five session course is $130 per person or $165 per couple, which includes material fees.  Please contact Sheryl Schwabe at 303-520-6803 to learn about her upcoming class schedule.  

We also offer numerous workshops and presentations throughout the month / year pertaining to a wide variety of parenting topics. In the past, we have offered classes on : infant massage, potty training, baby sign language, discipline and limit setting, developing healthy eating and sleeping routines, co-parenting after divorce, CPR and first aid, raising rambunctious boys, and parent/child music, just to name a few. Whenever possible, we offer classes in both English and Spanish.   Please check the calendar for upcoming presentations offered at Parenting Place and join us at one of our .future classes.   If there is a particular subject matter pertaining to parenting that you do not see offered, please feel free to contact Louise Haimowitz  LCSW, at 303-449-0177 ext.17.
She will make every effort to expand our offerings, and bring new subject matter to our center.
